Demo 14 now uses the newer WebGPU path tracer and its optional FSRUpscaler adapter. Pin upstream commit 5f0ad5154a44224ae4b6c801b65778471dabf367 (36 commits ahead of published 0.0.26), which includes kernel-disposal, bounce-reset, upscaler ownership and lighting fixes.

Inject this repository's Upscaler class, seed its spatial configuration, and await async preparation. The path tracer owns tracing, upscaling and a single alpha-preserving presentation. Explicitly dispose detached drivers so repeated FSR toggles do not retain resources.

Stacked on #84, which depends on #83 / issue #82. No package publication or merge.

Validation:

  • Node 22 lint, typecheck, portable tests (484), library artifact verification and gallery build pass.
  • Chrome and Edge GPU checks cover cold/warm startup, resize/DPR, all ratios, four FSR detach/attach cycles and settled bounce changes.
  • Zero synchronous compute-pipeline calls or WebGPU validation errors; tracked texture count stays at 17 across all four cycles. Cold logs only report a missing favicon.
  • Transparent rover output visually checked. Evidence and reproduction commands: docs/pathtracer-current.md.

The prior exposure optimization measures ~43% lower pass time on the RTX 3060 Laptop. This demo upgrade does not claim a measured whole-application FPS improvement.
