Proposal: optional anonymous web search and fetching example for MCP #114
Give UTCP users an optional way to try web search and page fetching through the MCP plugin without setting up an account or API key. I propose a short README section and runnable Python example using Parallel Search MCP. Its anonymous search uses Fast mode; anonymous access is free with lower rate limits than authenticated access.
The code is already prepared in PR #113. I missed the organization's contribution guide: I implemented this before proposing it and opened the PR ready for review against main. The same PR is now a draft targeting dev. This is a retrospective proposal for discussion, not a claim that the issue preceded implementation.
The proposed example discovers and calls web_search and web_fetch through UtcpClient. Would this be useful to include in the MCP plugin documentation?
I work at Parallel. The prepared contribution and this proposal were created with AI assistance.
