I have many interestes and I like changing field to learn new things. I'm not a super-duper expert in any specific field, but I'm well versed in many different fields. Those are a few things I did as a job or I got super passionate about:
I got a Ph.D. and worked as a researcher in Sociology-Econometrics. Here I got passionate about data (which is a very broad a nonsense way of saying, but I actually like datasetas somehow)
I worked as data scientist for 2 startups, getting some expertise in LLMs and time-series forecasting (on the energy market). I like going deep into things, so I got really passionate about the maths of deep learning
Touchdesigner is a 3D-art software, mostly used for audio-reactive visuals. I used it for arts (creating videos for music) but I'm hyperfixating now on how to use it for data visualization. I'm cooking it, soon there will be something out (link here soon)
Even though I prefer a more chill way of living now, I've been competing at good levels in:
- Taekwondo) I was regional champion for a few years in a row before retiring, and also teacher
- Videogames) I was top italian player in Smash Bros (best princess peach mainer) and Rivals of Aether
Before moving to statistics (in my Ph.D.) I though I would become a researcher in sociolog. I spent years eating books about society (sociology, economics, philosophy and psychology mostly). Then, after years of endless discourses, I decided I needed certainty and numbers (still love endless chatting).
I am now hyperfixating on art, specifically color pencils. I guess I love creating colored 3d worlds, is it with programming or hands, doesn't matter
