Switch the active sound setup on Audiotec Fischer ACO-based DSP amplifiers (MATCH / HELIX / BRAX) over their USB connection, from the command line.
- Python 3.8+
- pyserial
- The amplifier connected via USB (it enumerates as a USB serial device)
Create and activate a virtualenv, then install the dependency:
macOS / Linux
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txtWindows (PowerShell)
py -m venv .venv
.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1
pip install -r requirements.txtLater, reactivate with source .venv/bin/activate (macOS/Linux) or
.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1 (Windows) before running the script. Deactivate
with deactivate.
Tip: to run without activating, call the venv's Python directly, e.g.
.venv/bin/python set_setup.py 1.
python set_setup.py <slot><slot> is the setup memory number, 1–10.
python set_setup.py 1 # switch to setup 1
python set_setup.py 5 # switch to setup 5The amplifier is auto-detected by its USB vendor id. If you have several serial devices, name the port explicitly:
python set_setup.py 1 --port /dev/tty.usbmodem101 # macOS / Linux
python set_setup.py 1 --port COM5 # WindowsOn success the script prints the setup before and after the change and confirms the switch:
/dev/tty.usbmodem101: setup 7 -> 1
OK - now on setup 1
- Tested with a MATCH M 5.4DSP on macOS.
- The amplifier holds up to 10 setups; only slots you have actually configured will switch.
