AO3 Tools

This Chrome browser extension does three things:

1. View changes to hits, subscriptions, bookmarks, and kudos on your AO3 Stats page.
2. Copy a fic's details from its AO3 page into CSV format, perfect for pasting into your fic-tracking spreadsheet.
3. Bookmark an external link to your AO3 bookmarks.

How to use this extension

Getting started

1. Download the extension and unzip it.
2. In your Chrome browser, go to Chrome -> Settings -> Extensions or simply visit chrome://extensions/.
3. Click the "Load unpacked" button and choose the unzipped folder you downloaded in step 1.
4. Activate the extension and click "Details".
5. Click "Pin to toolbar" to show the icon in your browser tools.

Check your stats

1. With the extension enabled, visit your AO3 stats page at https://archiveofourown.org/users/[your-user]/stats replacing [your-user] with your AO3 user.
2. Click the AO3T button in your browser toolbar. If it's your first time using the tool, this will load your fics and their data into browser storage.
3. When you want to check for changes, visit the stats page and click the AO3T button. You'll see notices in the bottom left corner of your browser listing the fics that have changed and their stats.

Copy a fic details for spreadsheet entry

1. View a single fic on AO3, like https://archiveofourown.org/works/59396569.
2. Click the AO3T button in your browser toolbar.
3. You'll see a notice in the bottom left corner of the browser confirming the fic's title, author, word count, tags, and other details have been copied to the clipboard.
4. Go to your fic-tracking spreadsheet (feel free to use my template if you'd like) and Edit -> Paste the details into a new row.

Bookmark an external fic to AO3

1. Visit a fic on an external site (ie. wattpad, ff.net, tumblr, etc.).
2. Click the AO3T button in your toolbar.
3. The external bookmark pop-up will appear so you can fill out the remaining details and save your bookmark.
