What happened?

sbb-angular is used by Netzgrafik Editor, in turn used in OSRD project. sbb-angular is published under the Apache license, which is great!

sbb-angular depends on the SBBWeb font (referenced from SBB's CDN). sbb-angular's license does not cover SBB fonts, since it's an external resource. SBB font license reads:

Lizenzierung.

Die SBB besitzt die Lizenzierung für den SBB Font für die uneingeschränkte Nutzung in digitalen und analogen Anwendungen im Auftrag von der und für die SBB AG.

Der SBB Font darf von Dritten nur im Rahmen von Projekten für die SBB AG verwendet werden; eine kommerzielle Weiterverwendung ist ausgeschlossen.

It seems to me like one can use sbb-angular in a commercial non-SBB product, but one cannot use the SBB font in such project.

Would it be possible to publish the SBB font under an open-source license?

I just wanted to let you know that we're still working on it, but unfortunately, it may take a while.

As a workaround in the meantime, you could use the following CSS variables to override the SBB font:
