fix(web, mobile): pull request text breaks lines when providers do - #26060
GitHub renders a single newline in a pull request description or comment as a line break. T3 Code renders it with plain CommonMark rules, so a description written on GitHub runs its lines together in the PR panel on web and mobile.
Change
Hosts disagree on this rule, so a source control definition sets hardLineBreaks when its host breaks on a single newline:
Line break on a single newline: GitHub, Forgejo (comments default), and GitCafe (assumed from its GitHub sync).
CommonMark, unchanged: GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps (lines without two trailing spaces join in PRs), and unknown hosts.
The PR markdown context on web and mobile carries the host's rule. Both clients already had a line-break switch: lineBreaks in ChatMarkdown and preserveSoftBreaks in mobile markdown. PullRequestMarkdown now turns it on from the context.
Review guide prose also renders through PullRequestMarkdown, for autolinks and media. It is written by an agent rather than on the host, so it passes lineBreaks={false} and keeps chat's markdown rules.
Scope and approval
This is a small, focused fix for an obvious rendering bug. PR text displays differently than it does on its host. It changes no product defaults, and each client gets the same fix.
Verification
New PullRequestMarkdown.browser.test.tsx covers three cases: a GitHub PR breaks on a single newline, a GitLab PR joins it into the paragraph, and the guide's opt-out holds under GitHub. The GitHub case fails with GitHub's hardLineBreaks set to false.

fix(web, mobile): pull request text breaks lines when providers do

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a small, tested rendering fix that aligns pull-request text with each provider’s newline semantics across web and mobile. It does not introduce a new workflow, schema, deployment change, or product preference default.

Walkthrough
Pull-request Markdown now uses provider-specific hard-line-break settings by default. Web and mobile components accept explicit overrides. Guide Markdown calls set lineBreaks to false.
The source-control definition adds the optional hardLineBreaks setting. GitHub, Forgejo, and GitCafe set it to true.
Pass host settings to Markdown apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/PullRequestMarkdown.tsx, apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/PullRequestDetailPanel.tsx, apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/PullRequestMarkdown.browser.test.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/pull-requests/PullRequestMarkdown.tsx
Web and mobile Markdown components use the provider setting unless a caller supplies an override. Browser tests cover GitHub and GitLab defaults and an explicit override.
Disable host line breaks in guide prose apps/mobile/src/features/pull-requests/guide/GuideOutline.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/pull-requests/guide/PullRequestGuideScreen.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/pull-requests/guide/ReviewGuideExcerpt.tsx, apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/guide/GuideProse.tsx
Guide Markdown calls explicitly set lineBreaks to false.
Pull request text now breaks lines on single newlines for GitHub, Forgejo and GitCafe, while other hosts and guide prose keep CommonMark behavior. No concrete merge-blocking risk was identified.

GitHub renders a single newline in a pull request description or comment
as a line break, but T3 Code rendered it with plain markdown rules, so
descriptions written on GitHub ran their lines together. Hosts disagree:
GitHub and Forgejo break on a newline in change request text, while
GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps follow CommonMark. Hosts that break
on a newline now say so in their definition, and the pull request renderers
on web and mobile follow it.
Review guide prose is written by an agent, not on the host, so it opts
out and keeps chat's markdown rules. GitCafe is assumed to match GitHub,
since it syncs pull requests with GitHub.

Update the DOM assertions in the PullRequestMarkdown browser tests to use the
required browser assertion helpers. Wrap assertions in `vi.waitFor` or use
`expect.element`, including the assertions at the referenced locations.
Test the panel's lineBreaks value through PullRequestDetailPanel.
renderBody in PullRequestMarkdown.browser.test.tsx builds its own lineBreaks value from the same hardLineBreaks expression that the panel uses. No test in the inspected scope renders PullRequestDetailPanel. If the panel removed, inverted, or hard-coded that value, the three browser tests would still pass. The GitHub single-newline behavior, which this PR adds, could then regress without a failing test.
Add a browser test that renders PullRequestDetailPanel with a GitHub pull request detail whose body contains a single newline. Assert the rendered <br> output, not the context value. Exporting pullRequestMarkdownContext and testing it alone does not cover the panel's call site.
