Configure Renovate for monthly dependency updates, with Kotlin kept below 2.4 to retain the 1.9 compatibility modes used for MPS 2023.2. Separate the MPS prerelease version from the stable test matrix.
Raise Java compilation and bytecode targets from 11 to 17, and Kotlin language/API targets from 1.6 to 1.9. Bump published components to their next minor versions and document the baseline and dependency changes.
