EPUB2HTML Tool is a GUI application that converts EPUB eBooks to well-structured HTML files, making them easy to read and share in browsers.
Currently supports Windows (EXE), with Linux (DEB) version coming soon.

The generated HTML files are responsive and work perfectly on mobile devices, with both day/night themes. 生成的HTML文件支持响应式设计，完美适配移动设备，并支持日间/夜间主题切换。

🚀 Download & Installation / 下载安装

English

  1. Download the appropriate version from Releases:
    • epub2html_Eng.exe for English interface
    • epub2html_CN.exe for Chinese interface
  2. Double-click to run (no installation required)
  3. Click "Browse" to select an EPUB file
  4. Click "Start Conversion"
  5. The generated HTML file will open automatically in your default browser

中文

  1. 从 Releases 页面下载对应版本：
    • 英文界面请下载 epub2html_Eng.exe
    • 中文界面请下载 epub2html_CN.exe
  2. 双击运行（无需安装）
  3. 点击"浏览"选择EPUB文件
  4. 点击"开始转换"
  5. 生成的HTML文件将自动在默认浏览器中打开

⚠️ Notes / 注意事项

🪟 Windows Users / Windows用户

English

  • First run: Windows Defender may show a warning. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" (this is normal for unsigned applications)
  • Placement: It's recommended to put the EXE in a separate folder
  • Output: Generated HTML files will be saved in your Downloads folder by default (configurable in the UI)
  • Portable: No installation required, just download and run
  • Two versions: Choose the version that matches your preferred language

❓ FAQ / 常见问题

Q: Why does Windows Defender show a warning? / 为什么Windows Defender显示警告？
A: The EXE is not digitally signed (which costs money). It's completely safe, just click "Run anyway".

Q: Where are the generated HTML files saved? / 生成的HTML文件保存在哪里？
A: By default in your Downloads folder. You can change this in the UI before conversion.

Q: Does this require Python installation? / 需要安装Python吗？
A: No, the EXE is standalone and includes everything needed.

A: No, this tool is free for personal use only. Commercial use is not permitted.

A: Yes, the tool supports both Chinese and English eBooks. It automatically detects the language and applies appropriate text optimization.

Q: What if my EPUB is not standard format? / 如果我的EPUB不是标准格式怎么办？
A: This tool is developed and tested for standard EPUB format only. Non-standard EPUBs (with irregular structure, missing TOC, or proprietary formatting) may fail to extract content properly. For best results, please use standard EPUB files.

Q: What's the difference between the two EXE files? / 两个EXE文件有什么区别？
A: epub2html_Eng.exe has English interface, epub2html_CN.exe has Chinese interface. Both have identical functionality.

Q: Why is the English version missing a night mode screenshot? / 为什么英文版缺少夜间模式截图？
A: The English version's night mode interface is identical in layout to the Chinese version shown above, only with English text. We'll add it in a future update.
