Serial connection (UART)
To connect using a serial connection, the ground pin (black), tx(white), and rx(green) are required to be plugged in while power(red) is only needed if you want to power the device using serial connection.
Pins 8 and 10 on the pi are tx(white) and rx(green) respectively.
You can connect to the board via putty using this connection.
Battery babysitter
To provide power from the battery babysitter, the vout pins need to be plugged into pins 4 and 6, with red on the top. For I2C, sda plugs into pin 3, while scl plugs into pin 5. gnd and vpu also need to be plugged in.
