I had a nagging doubt about disabling IDN in rsync. If rsync configure aborts is libidn2 rather critical for some functionality that we should include libidn2? I think it would be good to document what we are missing by not including libidn.
@craigcomstock looks like a new optional feature to me. So I don't think it's critical. In the NEWS it sounds like they intended to add it only if it is available on the system. This project seems to be very unstable lately, see RsyncProject/rsync#929. |
