Converting presence values

There are "p" for present in the quadrat data. How are we as a group treating this? In count data there are 1501 "p", out of 489,140 total rows.

Count data also has one occurrence of "sp100" and "casings present". My inclination is to omit these rows unless I hear otherwise

"p" observations should be omitted unless doing spp richness or presence/absence analyses

Omit any rows where there is text when numeric values should be present in count, percent cover, or size variables. An exception can be where text can be interpreted to a value confidently (e.g., instances of "89%" or "89 percent cover", could be converted to 89)
