OpenCode Go subscription active, but all opencode-go models return Unexpected server error #53776

Description

@1996y2007-star

Description

OpenCode Go subscription is active, but every Go model request fails.

OpenCode version:
1.17.11

Refs:
err_5b3d24c2
err_920352ea
err_75734ac3

Image

Credentials:

  • DeepSeek api
  • OpenCode Go api

Go model discovery works:
opencode models opencode-go --refresh
lists all expected Go models.

But actual requests fail:

opencode run --model opencode-go/deepseek-v4-pro "test"
→ Unexpected server error
ref: err_5b3d24c2

opencode run --model opencode-go/glm-5.3-flash "test"
→ Unexpected server error
ref: err_920352ea

opencode run --model opencode-go/kimi-k2.7-code "test"
→ Unexpected server error
ref: err_75734ac3

Dashboard:

  • Go subscription active
  • Usage 0%
  • Extra Usage off
  • Balance $0.00

Please verify that the Go subscription entitlement is correctly linked to the service account/API key and that requests are being routed to the Go subscription rather than normal prepaid balance.

    Thanks for the report and for including the error refs.

    This looks like the same problem as #41944: an active OpenCode Go subscription, but requests to Go models through the opencode-go provider fail with Unexpected server error and an err_… ref. Your error comes from the Go service itself, not the OpenCode app, so a maintainer with backend access needs to look at it. Please follow #41944, and feel free to add your refs (err_5b3d24c2, err_920352ea, err_75734ac3) there.

    Related: #51424 describes a similar setup (Go active, 0% usage, $0.00 balance), but it fails with Insufficient account funds instead.

    The bot will close this issue as a duplicate in 1 day. If your problem is different from #41944, reply here before then and explain how, and it will stay open.

    This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

    • #41944: A paid OpenCode Go model through opencode-go returns Unexpected server error with an err_… reference, the closest match to the reported failure.
    • #51424: An active Go subscription with 0% usage also has failing Go model requests; comments report requests being routed to the standard product instead of Go.

    I’m seeing the same issue with an active OpenCode Go subscription.

    OpenCode version: 1.17.11
    Go dashboard: active subscription, 0% usage
    OpenCode Go credential is configured and model discovery works.

    Failures across multiple Go models:

    deepseek-v4-pro
    → Unexpected server error
    ref: err_5b3d24c2

    glm-5.3-flash
    → Unexpected server error
    ref: err_920352ea

    kimi-k2.7-code
    → Unexpected server error
    ref: err_75734ac3

    So this does not appear to be model-specific.

    Please check whether my Go entitlement/service account is correctly provisioned on the Go backend.

    Thanks for the extra detail. Knowing that every Go model fails, not just one, is useful. It suggests the problem is with your account or the Go service rather than with a particular model or the OpenCode app.

    This still matches #41944: an active Go subscription and an Unexpected server error with an err_… ref on Go models. I can't check accounts or entitlements from here, so a maintainer with backend access will have to look at it. To make sure your refs (err_5b3d24c2, err_920352ea, err_75734ac3) are seen alongside the other reports, please add them to #41944 as a comment.

    If your problem is different from #41944, please explain how before this issue is closed as a duplicate.

    Additional local verification:

    ~/.local/share/opencode/auth.json contains both credentials:

    • deepseek → type: api
    • opencode-go → type: api

    The Gentle default agent config contains no pinned model/provider:

    {
    "schema": "gentle-ai.opencode-default-agent",
    "version": 1,
    "state": "managed",
    "previous_state": "absent"
    }

    So the issue does not appear to be caused by a local model override or missing Go credential.

    Thanks for checking. That rules out the local setup: your opencode-go credential is present, and nothing pins a different model or provider. It fits the error coming from the Go service itself. The err_… refs are created on the server, so only someone with access to that side can see what went wrong for your account.

    It's still the same problem as #41944, so I'm leaving this marked as a duplicate. To get your account looked at alongside the other reports, please add your refs (err_5b3d24c2, err_920352ea, err_75734ac3) to #41944.

    Update: resolved on my side.

    The root cause was the workspace Privacy setting. In the TUI, the request failed with: "This Go model requires Global regions. Select Global in your workspace's Privacy settings to use it."

    After setting the region to Global in the OpenCode Console (workspace → Privacy), Go model requests work normally.

    Note for others hitting this: via opencode run the same failure showed up as a generic "Unexpected server error" with an err_… ref, so it looked like a backend/entitlement problem. If you see this error with an active Go subscription, check your workspace's Privacy region first.

    Closing this one. Not a duplicate of #41944 in my case, since that one may have a different cause.

    I'm closing this as a duplicate of #41944. Thanks for all the checks you ran. They show your local setup is fine and the Unexpected server error comes from the Go service itself. Please follow #41944 and add your refs there (err_5b3d24c2, err_920352ea, err_75734ac3), so a maintainer with access to the server side can look at your account along with the other reports. If you find your problem is different from #41944, comment here and explain how.

    @Alxndr3

    Similar issue on my side — active Go subscription, but every opencode-go model fails.

    • OpenCode 1.18.35
    • LMDE 7 and also Debian 12 — same failure on both

    All models (deepseek-v4.1-flash, qwen3.7-plus, kimi-k3) return the same error:

    AI_APICallError: Upstream request failed:
    An active OpenCode Go subscription is required to use Go models.

    Verified directly: GET /zen/go/v1/models returns 200 with the full catalog (key is valid), but POST /zen/go/v1/chat/completions returns 403 with the message above. Not model- or region-specific — looks like the Go entitlement isn't linked to the key on the backend.
