Copy and Paste does not work on VS Code Extension on Mac #39588

Description

Description

OpenCode Beta Extension

Identifier
sst-dev.opencode-v2
Version
0.1.1
Last Updated

MacOS
15.7.7

No version of copy and paste works with the extension. No right click is available, command+v, command+c, nor copy and paste from Visual Studio menu.

I am using the extension docked in VS Code.

There is a similar issue here but closed, and said to open another one if still a problem.

    I really dont know what you are doing all toghether with these copy paste issues, but one thing i know that it totally sucks. Now i changed away from VScode as it seems to be a big issue, but on the MacBook, its just terrible and the biggest joke is that the great workaround of Apple with the screenshots ALSO often doesnt provide the image directly for drag and drop.

    I really dont get it whats the problem its seems some schoolboy messed something terribly up in Apple and now the copy pasting nowhere works anymore properply and instead that they fix it they just mess things up more an dcreate workarounds now in very many softwares instead that microsoft and apple stop the fucking crap on the heads of their customers. This is aboslutely ridiculous you can do everything knwo everything then you come to a place that you are blocked by issues like this and this stupid issues takes everyday hours for me to figure out how i can get the fucking clipboard to work, theis is absolutely ridiculous are you afraid so much of the peoples might that you come now with such tricks?

    @BenHizak

    This might work

    1. from command pallet Ctrl+Shift+P
    2. Open Preferences: Open Keyboard Shortcuts (JSON)
    Image
    1. Then paste this
    [
        {
            "key": "ctrl+v",
            "command": "-editor.action.clipboardPasteAction"
        }
    ]

    @disarticulate

    copy paste doesnt work anywhere because who ever decided to override normal terminal behavior fails to read issues.

    @TamirPerek

    Confirming from #53778 (step-by-step repro + environment there): macOS (Darwin 25.6.0, Apple Silicon), extension 0.1.1 — Cmd+V/Cmd+C silent no-ops in the chat panel, no right-click context menu, and Edit → Cut/Copy/Paste greyed out even with text selected. Consistent across sessions. The SSOT for tracking is this issue; the other one will close as duplicate.
