Select doesn't fire change event when typing the value

Hi!

Steps to repeat:

• Tab into a select input (navigate with keyboard, don't click).
• Start typing one of the option labels
• Tab out of the input

Problem:
The select will appear to have changed value and will show the newly selected label, but the event will not fire meaning the update function does not run and the model is not updated.

I did try to see if I could fix this in this package but ended up writing my own custom element just for select.

@nunntom we spoke with aforemny and have forked the repo https://github.com/motorefi/material-components-web-elm and will be working on #157 and #156 (and maybe others). We have a deadline at work so need to move quickly but we plan to merge changes upstream. Could you provide some guidance on how we might start fixing this issue in our fork? Or if you still have your code changes somewhere feel free to upload it here or in our fork.

I think the critical part was to listen to the "MDCSelect:change" event on the mdc-select element. If I recall this package was listening to events on the menu items themselves and I don't think the custom element was emitting the "MDCSelect:change" event.
