Manual review is required before merging:

  • Review the release changes for configuration or behavioral changes.
  • Update deployment documentation and migration examples where needed.
  • Check the Helm chart version and CloudFormation defaults, including other pending version PRs.

Note

Medium Risk
Version-only changes, but new firewall image behavior should be validated against release notes before production rollouts.

Overview
Bumps the default Socket Registry Firewall container image from 2.8.0 to 2.9.3 and the Helm chart patch from 0.11.6 to 0.11.7, keeping Chart.yaml appVersion, helm/values.yaml, docs, and EKS CloudFormation defaults aligned.

CloudFormation firewall-eks.yaml parameter defaults (ChartVersion, FirewallImageTag), the dns-override.values.yaml pin, and cloudformation/README.md install notes are updated so greenfield/existing-cluster handoffs install the new versions without extra --set overrides.
