Website Announcements and In-App Notifications

Objective

Provide manageable website announcement history while continuing to notify active users through in-app messages.

Acceptance Criteria

• Each publication creates a separate announcement instead of overwriting the previous announcement.
• Announcements include a title, plain-text content, automatic-popup setting, publisher, and publication time.
• Each active user receives an independent notification that can be marked as read.
• Closing an automatic announcement marks its associated notification as read.
• Each session automatically shows only the newest pending announcement, while newly published automatic announcements can still appear during the session.
• Standard announcements do not open automatically but remain available in notification and announcement history.
• Overview displays paginated announcement history with a content dialog.
• Administrators can paginate and delete announcement history; deletion also removes associated notifications.
• Publication and deletion create audit events.
• Database migration preserves existing announcements and notification history and has forward, rollback, and schema regression validation.
