Hi all, just having a play with this and thinking it could be useful to have a .devcontainer with all dependencies pre-installed. I know package contributor @e-kotov is a fan, have you thought about this? Could be useful!
Hi, @Robinlovelace! Do you mean literal devcontainer for the development/contributions of/to duckspatial? Or more of a devcontainer for interactive playgorund for potential users?
That allows users to jump into an environment and test things without the (potentially time-consuming) process of installing the dependencies for quick reprexes and testing.
Context: just wanted to test some things out and it was taking a while to compile duckdb, sorted now and watch out for potential follow-on issue on the actual topic from my colleague Juan. I don't think it's common at all for packages to have .devcontainer definitions for testing in GitHub codespaces, tried to find an example package that has one and failed. Just an idea, no particular reason this should have such a thing more than other spatial packages. Could give it a go at some point...
