This is a timer tracker that I use for personal purposes. Tracks time in milliseconds and converts to hours. Early stage model.
Productivity Timer (Firmware) is only available as of June 29th 2026. Early Prototying of hardware has been implemented on 25th July 2026.
A productivity timer built using an Arduino Pro Micro and an SSD1306 OLED display.
This repository contains the firmware for the project. The hardware is still under development. Although a makeshift box holds the components together, with a mix of perfboard and breadboard components.
NOTE: Designed and edited the menus using GIMP
The timer includes:
-
Four independent productivity timers:
- GATE (exam) Preparation
- Exercise
- Study
- Meditation
-
Three-button navigation
-
Session start/stop functionality
-
EEPROM data preservation
-
Tracks:
- Total time spent
- Number of sessions
- Average session duration
-
Custom bitmap menu interface made using GIMP
- 18650 2000mAh rechargable battery
- TP4056 (type-C) charging module
- boost converter (for converting the 3.7v of the battery to stable 5v)
- Arduino pro micro for tracking time and displaying UI
- SSD1306 monochrome OLED display (used I2C interface)
- Adding an idle mode for power savings
- Adding an ON / OFF switch
- Desoldering the LED from the arduino to decrease current usage and improve power savings
- 3D printed case
- Better buttons
- Adding better debounce to the buttons
- Optimizing the code to use leser memory
- Battery level indicator
- Low battery warning
- Moving to custom PCB and reducing form factor
- adding a sideways rotary encoder for navigation instead of using 3 buttons
