Windows 11 Portfolio

A creative personal portfolio website inspired by the Windows 11 desktop experience.
This project simulates a fully interactive Windows 11-like desktop environment using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and React.

🚀 Current Features

• Realistic Windows 11-themed desktop with custom wallpaper
• Acrylic taskbar with:
  • Pinned apps (Start, Search, Copilot, File Explorer, Microsoft Edge, VS Code, Chrome, Figma)
  • Active app indicators
  • System tray (Wi-Fi, volume, battery icons)
  • Live clock based on user's timezone and locale
• Widgets Panel (slides in from left):
  • Weather widget with user location and forecast
  • Photo of the day
  • Top news headlines
  • Persian calendar with highlighted today
• Interactive windows:
  • Resume.pdf window with double-click open
  • Google Chrome window with real iframe
  • Draggable windows (title bar drag)
  • Close button functionality
• Responsive design (mobile fallback coming soon)

• Fully functional Start Menu with pinned apps and search
• File Explorer with folder navigation (About, Projects, Skills, Contact)
• Draggable + resizable windows (from edges and corners)
• Multiple open windows with proper z-index and minimize to taskbar
• More apps (Terminal, Settings, Notepad, Calculator)
• Smooth window animations and optional sound effects
• Dark/Light mode toggle
• Full mobile responsiveness

💡 Why This Project?

I wanted to create a unique and memorable portfolio that stands out from traditional single-page websites. By recreating the familiar Windows 11 interface, visitors get an engaging and fun experience while exploring my skills, projects, and resume.

This project showcases modern web development skills including state management, component architecture, responsive design, and attention to detail in UI/UX.
