fix(devin): skip review-category sessions in remote capture - #507

Conversation
Devin Review and push-review automations run inside the org as automation-origin sessions, so every code review Cognition runs lands in the catalog as if a person drove it. The listing's `category` field is the only marker that names the work; sessions classified code_review or code_review_and_analysis no longer map. Two review findings: a person-started session the classifier files as code_review must still catalog, so the skip now requires origin=="automation" alongside the category; and pages where every item was filtered still consumed the 100-page bound, starving limited discovery in review-dense orgs, so the bound now counts only pages that yielded rows while a larger absolute fetch cap keeps enumeration terminating. | - Devin remote capture skips sessions the v3 listing classifies as `code_review` or `code_review_and_analysis` — Cognition's Devin Review / push-review automations — so org review traffic no longer fills the catalog. |

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
State the automation-origin condition.
This entry says that Devin remote capture skips sessions in either review category. The filter keeps sessions in those categories when origin is not automation. Add that condition so the release note does not imply that person-started review sessions disappear.

Summary
Devin remote capture (
GET /v3/organizations/{org}/sessions) catalogs every org session — including Cognition's own review automations (Devin Review / push-review jobs), which land in history as if a person drove them. This filters them out at mapping time. What I verified against the live synced catalog (workspace
50587328…):86e0bcca…("You are reviewing one push to this team's main branch") — carryorigin: automation, the same as other automations (trial-recap emails etc.).origincannot separate them.originenum (webapp|slack|teams|api|linear|jira|automation|cli|desktop|code_scan|other) has no review value.categoryfield is the only documented discriminator: Cognition's classifier files review work ascode_review/code_review_and_analysis, and the endpoint exposescategoryas a first-class filter param. So
map_devin_sessionnow returnsNonefor those two categories — same skip semantics as a malformed id.Honest limitations
categoryis "only populated … if categorisation has run." If Cognition doesn't categorize review sessions on some orgs, they still slip through — in which case the next lever isautomation_id/service_user_id, but that needs a live org key to identify.categorymapping is documented-evidence, not empirically confirmed on a review session. If you have an org key handy,GET /v3/organizations/{org}/sessions?category=code_reviewwould settle it in one call.Test plan
cargo testinplugins/provider-sources/rust— 51 pass; new test covers both review categories skipped and null/non-review categories still mappingcargo fmt --checkcleanGenerated with Devin

Overview
Devin remote capture no longer catalogs Cognition’s automated review jobs (Devin Review / push-review) that show up in the v3 org session list.
map_devin_sessionnow drops rows whenoriginisautomationandcategoryiscode_revieworcode_review_and_analysis. Person-started sessions classified as review (e.g. webapp/cli) still map. Session list pagination was adjusted so pages that filter to zero candidates don’t eat the catalog page budget—only pages that add rows count towardMAX_LIST_PAGES, with a higherMAX_LIST_FETCHEScap so enumeration can walk past review-only pages. Tests and a CHANGELOG fix entry cover the filter and pagination behavior.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit e8c3ae7. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
