Problem Controlling Direct routing on relationship lines

I am have built a Context diagram. I have one system that has relationship to many other systems (20+). I have defined all the systems and relationships between them. When I generate the diagram, it basically displays a bunch of boxes vertically or horizontally (very ugly) so I change it to do a manually layout to change how it looks. The problem is the lines it generated for the relationships are not perfectly direct lines that will automatically adjust where they are when I move stuff around, they have a joint where the line is two different line segments and it is forcing me to manually adjust the line segment for each relationship. I can't figure out a way to change this and make the relationships a single direct line. There must be a way to change this because I noticed if you click on a line a drag is anywhere, it creates one of these joints/pins to do this. Just looking for a way to make the pins/joints in the lines go away.

Two options:

1. Hover over each line where the break is and you'll see a small circle/cross - click the cross to remove the break.
2. Use the autolayout model (magic wand icon) and you'll see a "Remove all vertices" button.
