Hi, I'm Numan 👋

I'm an AI engineer and React Native developer with 9+ years of experience building production mobile apps and backend systems. I create open-source tools that help developers ship better apps.

My open-source work

I'm the author of react-native-compressor, a library for compressing images, video, and audio in React Native apps, with 150,000+ weekly npm downloads.

I also contribute to React Native Core, Expo Core, and React Native Reanimated, and share practical solutions with the developer community through 261 Stack Overflow answers and 25,000+ reputation.

One of my React Native apps was featured on Apple's official iPhone 15 page for its Dynamic Island experience, and I've reached #7 on GitHub Developer Trending.

What I build

My work spans React Native and Expo, native iOS and Android development with Swift and Kotlin, and backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript. I also build AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, MCP servers, and n8n automations.

Why sponsor me?

If my libraries save you time or power your product, sponsorship helps me dedicate more time to open-source maintenance: investigating issues, reviewing contributions, improving documentation, and keeping tools useful as the ecosystem evolves.

Whether you're an individual developer or a team using my work in production, your support helps sustain the tools we share. Thank you for supporting my open-source work!
