cd to Directory
git config --global user.name 'surseh'
git config --global user.email 'suresh@gmail.com'
git config --global init.defaultBranch main
git init (one off)



 --make changes to files  or create files (created index.html, abc.js files)
git status
git add readme.html
git commit -m "Readme file"
git log  ==> to check history of what happened
git add . ==> to add all files
git commit -m "added all files"


git checkout commitcodefromgitlog  ==> to switch to old commit
git checkout main  ==> switch back to main

git checkout -f main ==> Switch back to main and remove all changes revert to main branch current changes will go away

Create a repo in git hub
git remote add origin https://github.com/demo/code.git  => connect remote repository to local repository
git push -u origin main  => to push local repo to remote repo

Create a branch
-------------------
git branch feature  => create a branch feature (this will create files from main branch)

git checkout feature ==> to switch to feature branch (or git checkout -b feature1 to create a branch and checkout in a single command)

git branch newfeature feature  ==>(this will create a new branch newfeature from copy of feature)


Push he new branch to origin (github)

git push --set-upstream origin feature  (or) git push -u origin feature (for first time only after that just "git push" alone is enough)

After the go to git hub and click on compare and pullrequest and then perform merge. instead of doing git merge command

Go back to main branch

git pull  => to get it to local

------------------------------------------------------

To fetch all branches from remote to local

git fetch




git add .
git commit -m "dkkd"
git push
compare and pull request (UI)
merge pull request(UI)
git checkout main
git pull
