Thank you for your interest in contributing to Aero CMS! We're excited to build a modern, modular CMS for the .NET ecosystem — and we'd love your help.
Important: All contributors must sign a Contributor License Agreement before their pull requests can be accepted. This is a standard legal requirement for open-source projects with dual-licensing models.
By signing the CLA, you agree that:
- You grant us the right to use your contribution under both the Apache License 2.0 and the GNU AGPL v3 licenses.
- You retain full ownership of your contribution.
- Your contribution is your original work.
This ensures we can continue offering Aero CMS under both its open-source and commercial licenses without legal friction.
On your first pull request, the CLA Assistant bot will automatically prompt you to sign. Follow the instructions in the PR comment — it takes about 30 seconds.
- Fork the repository and create your branch from main.
- Open an issue first for significant changes so we can discuss the approach before you invest time in code.
- Write tests for any new functionality. We use TUnit for unit tests and Playwright for integration tests.
- Follow the coding patterns established in the project:
- SOLID principles and GoF patterns where appropriate
- Railway-oriented programming (Result<T>, Option<T>)
- Clean architecture with vertical slices
- No reflection — prefer source generators
- Run the tests before submitting your PR.
- Submit a pull request with a clear description of the change and its motivation.
Be respectful, constructive, and professional. We're all here to build something great together.
Open a discussion or issue — we're happy to help.
