It seems this chart tries to work even with antique 5+ year old Kubernetes clusters. I think it would make sense to stabilize at least on 1.19 (2021-10-28) or maybe even 1.24 (2023-07-28)? This would allow simpler and more predictable templates, encourage more contributors, and will allow a clear indication if someone needs an older chart because they would post an issue. Without this, it may be more difficult to make some changes because I for example have no clue if an old k8s would work with these settings (testing k8s templates is notoriously difficult)
