Low contrast font color makes navigation text hard to read on mobile/iPad

Howdy friends. The font that's displayed on mobile/smaller devices does not have enough contrast. It's difficult to read even with good reading glasses.

It looks sort of OK blown up in this screen capture, but I'm pretty sure this would fail accessibility tests.
