Accents

Hi..

I am still trying to get to test VoiceStudio, although my Nvidia card only has 2gb of VRAM.. I plan to update soon. Is there any trick to getting an accent to be picked up on a voice clone? Use a specific model etc? In my case I am trying to clone New Zealand and Australian voices with accents.

The accent comes from your reference recording, not from a setting — there is no accent picker. What matters, from the engine docs:

• Use a clean 3–10 second clip of the NZ/Australian speaker. That length is the sweet spot for conditioning.
• Supply a transcript matching exactly what is said in the clip. Without one, the app auto-transcribes (needs an installed speech-to-text model), and clips over 20 seconds get windowed down to the best 15-second passage — which may not be the passage carrying the accent you want.
• For cross-language work, keep the transcript in the sample's original language.
• Engine accent quality varies: use a multilingual engine that supports the target language.

One thing I have not verified: whether your 2 GB card can run the cloning engine at all. If generation fails rather than sounding wrong, paste the exact error and your engine choice — that is a different problem from accent pickup.
