The xattr -cr answer above is the right first step. If it still refuses to open (as several 0.5.5/0.5.6 reports say), the bundle itself is failing assessment, and clearing the quarantine flag cannot fix that. Run these and paste the output:

spctl --assess --type execute --verbose=2 /Applications/VoiceStudio.app
codesign --verify --deep --strict /Applications/VoiceStudio.app

Also compare the download's SHA-256 against the release's SHA256SUMS.txt. Two versions failing identically points at either a signing gap in those artifacts or a consistently corrupt download path, and the spctl line tells them apart immediately.
