Yes, this is because .storybook/main.ts isn't included in your TypeScript project.

If you're using a recent typescript-eslint, you can allow this file explicitly:

parserOptions: {
projectService: {
allowDefaultProject: ['.storybook/main.ts'],
},
}

You don't need to create a separate .storybook/tsconfig.json. For older typescript-eslint versions, use a separate tsconfig.eslint.json that includes main.ts.
