Have better looking progress bar as shown in the screenshots below;

Compatibility and lifecycle

I guess it wouldn't have a compatibility issue as this type of progress bar is also used by other media player extensions.

I still choose to draw inspiration from GNOME vanilla. Since Quick Settings doesn't follow that style, I can't change it, It goes against the extension philosophy.

It is worth noting that the extension fully supports GTK themes, so any customization applied to the slider will be reflected there.
