Plugin overrides page default for displaying comments section

With the plugin enabled, all pages show the comments section - even if you've disabled comments for the page/post in WP. It shows comments as closed - but still shows the section.

I've noticed the same thing, but I think it's on pages that have comments, but comments are now closed.
