MONAI Auto3DSeg: Manual Fold Assignment Results in Zero Samples Error

When manually assigning all training data to fold 0 in the datalist JSON file, MONAI Auto3DSeg training fails with ValueError: num_samples should be a positive integer value, but got num_samples=0. However, when MONAI auto-generates 5 folds and uses fold 0, training works correctly.

Does it work if you assign some data to fold 0 and some to fold 1? It's possible the error is about Auto3DSeg requiring 2 or more folds.

Sorry to get back late on this @ericspod and @anuragp2018 . This is likely caused by the leave-one-out cross val strategy. It needs fold 1 for evaluation.
