Cannot create light from prefab

I'm able to save a light source as a prefab, however I cannot then use that prefab to make a new light. Clicking does nothing, clicking and dragging creates a generic light not a copy of the prefab.

Hello, @BluetheNerd thanks for your request. Sorry for the late response.
I think there some misunderstanding happens.
How it's normally should work: click on the prefab in the prefab browser window turns on the placement mode where you can put your saved prefabs on the scene by Left Mouse Button or Middle. When you want to disable placing mode you can click on the prefab to remove the highlighting from it/select another prefab/just close the prefab browser.

Please tell me if the issue is still there
