Time Series Text Support

Time Series Text is used by our office to store non numeric data for situational awareness. The test module is capable of reporting the presence of time series text within a dss but the library does not support reading or writing those objects. If the plan is to have a pure python replacement for the jython dss libaries this needs to be added.

Hi David,

I have just released a new version of this library that supports text-based columns. You can add a column of text-based notes through the new .notes instance of either a RegularTimeSeries or IrregularTimeSeries class. In order to update the newest version of hecdss, I believe you can run pip install -U hecdss.
