The repo’s LFS quota is exceeded. Cannot clone master repo.

I'm working on a project with this sim, and I was going to try to import the CAD model for the 2026 car. However, I cannot clone the master repo without missing assets because this repo's LFS quota is exceeded. This subsequently means it cannot be opened in Unreal Engine, it crashes on startup inside AirSim’s LoadObject() when constructing CarPawn. Is there any chance that a contributor can increase the quota? Or can someone reach out to me and share an existing clone.

Any help is appreciated.

We wont be increasing quota, because this only really happens when there is a lot of traffic all of a sudden. On the 8th of february there were 214 clones of the repo, by 11 users, seems quite unusual. Quota should reset by the end of the month.

its been 3 weeks but the clone still doesnt work.

The quota was hit again, the 3rd of March. We only have 10GB of LFS bandwidth available. We used to have more data, when someone was paying for it, but he was doing so out of his own pocket.

If you want to clone the repo, to just use with the binary (and not edit unreal engine files), clone with the --filter option:

git clone --filter=blob:none git@github.com:FS-Driverless/Formula-Student-Driverless-Simulator.git

If you REALLY need to modify UE files, I will upload a copy of the files I still have to the v2.2.0 release, as backup_repo_with_large_files.zip.
